Background about this Event.. The Winter Park-Fraser Valley Rotary Club will present another Comedy Night at the Winter Park Resort on Saturday June 19, 2010. Our show was such a success in February we decided to bring it back. The show offers an evening of fun and entertainment with good clean stand up comedy. This is some of the only live entertainment in the valley. The evening will start with a cash bar at 7 PM in the West Portal building at the WP Resort where the event will be held with the show starting at 8PM. Food tastings will also be available before the show from local restaurants and free parking will be available at the Village's parking garage. There will be three acts from Comedy Works Entertainment in Denver. The show will open with Eugene Kenny and the headliners will be Chris Voth and Nancy Norton. These performers are very professional and really entertaining. All of the comedy will be in good taste. The proceeds will go to Grand County Habitat for Humanity and other local charities too. We are also a cosponsor of their "Habitat Hobble"--the run/walk event the same day at 8AM that morning of June 19th. So you can run in the morning and laugh at night. Please support this cause and enjoy a great evening of comedy. PLEASE NOTE that we have regular Rotary lunch meetings every Tuesday at noon at the Beaver Village Lodge in Winter Park and visitors are always welcome. Also, if you can't make the event, please consider a donation to othe WPFV Rotary Club's Foundation so we might be able to give tickets to people who might not be able to afford them otherwise. Simply make out a check to: "The WPFV Rotary Foundation" and send them to us at P.O. Box 1226, Fraser, CO 80442. Ticket Info.. Tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance and $25 at the door. We hope to have about 300 people in attendance. The advance tickets can be purchased at the following locations: Grand Mountain Bank in both Granby and Fraser and the Chamber of Commerce in Winter Park. As the event is being held at the Winter Park Ski Resort base area in the West Portal Station Building (which is at the north end of the base area.. FOR A MAP OF THE BASE AREA CLICK HERE ) parking is available at the North Bench parking lot which requires a walk across the bridge, or the Village Parking Garage by the Cabriolet which requires a stroll thru the village.
